Adding APNG image upload validation to optimize upload specifications

Summary

As specified in the Display Ads ad submission guidelines, image creatives with animation are not supported. To align the submission specifications with these guidelines, we will add a restriction that prevents the submission of APNG image files.
After this change takes effect, APNG image files can no longer be submitted.

Notes

  • Ads that already use submitted APNG image files will continue to be delivered. In such cases, the images will be displayed as still images in the ads.
  • For Dynamic Display Ads, products that currently use APNG image files will no longer be able to update review-required items after the scheduled date. Delete the products that use APNG image files, and then register them again with images that comply with the ad submission guidelines.

Comments

As an alternative to animated images, use video format ads.
