Summary

Starting with Search Ads API v20, support has been added for Shopping Search Ads (hereinafter referred to as SSA).
With this enhancement, SSA campaigns, ad groups, ads, and other assets can now be created, managed, and operated through external systems.

Available features in the Search Ads API

The following SSA features are available in the Search Ads API. For details, see the LY Ads Search Ads API v20 Release Notes.

Target Feature
Campaign Retrieve, create, update, and delete campaigns
Targeting Retrieve, update, and replace day-of-week, time, device, and age/gender targeting
Product group Retrieve, create, update, and delete product groups
Negative keyword Retrieve, add, and delete negative keywords
Ad group Retrieve, create, update, and delete ad groups

*Audience lists and negative keyword lists are not included in this feature update.
*Search Ads API v20 also supports the new SSA bidding strategy scheduled for release in autumn 2026. However, the new bidding strategy will become available only after it is officially released. For details, see Launch of a new bid strategy and required preparations.
